He also paid tribute to Corey Comperatore, the firefighter celebrated for his heroism in protecting his family with his body before tragically losing his life.
Trump highlighted the establishment of a GoFundMe page created to support the families of the victims, revealing that it had successfully raised over $6 million in just five days. In a poignant moment, Comperatore’s firefighter uniform was displayed on stage. Trump, moving away from the microphone, embraced the uniform and gently kissed the helmet, murmuring a heartfelt, “What a fine man he was.”
