Democrat SuperPAC Spends $1 Million for TikTok Influencers to Advertise Biden Campaign

The Democrat-linked SuperPAC Priorities USA has provided $1 million to social media influencers to advertise Joe Biden’s campaign.

Content creators on Instagram and TikTok are pushing Biden administration content to boost the president’s support among younger voters.

According to Politico, the move is “part of a larger Democratic strategy to lure young voters in battleground states.”

About 150 social media influencers have been recruited for the endeavor.

When asked about the social media campaign, Priorities USA spokesperson Jack Doyle said, “We look forward to working with TikTok throughout the cycle.”

One TikTok user under the account @itstrevorabney was allegedly offered $50,000 to issue positive remarks about the Biden administration.

“This morning I got an email from someone claiming to be from the Democratic Party,” he said. “And they said, ‘What would your rate be to post positive videos about Joe Biden?'”

The young man was uninterested in making the videos, prompting the alleged Democrat to ask how much it would cost to have the influencer make content promoting Biden.

When the influencer suggested “fifty grand,” the Democrat individual agreed.

“I’m not gonna lie, I was very, very tempted, but I didn’t do it,” the young influencer said.

This is not the first time the White House used social media influencers to create content attracting younger voters.

Daniel Mac, a TikTok influencer with more than 13 million followers, was invited to the Detriot Auto Show in September 2022. There, he asked Biden what he does for a living, a question Mac is known for on his platform.

More than 20 influencers from several social media platforms also received invitations to attend a briefing on the Inflation Reduct Act.
