Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), a member of the leftist congressional “Squad,” lost her primary.
She lost the Democratic primary for the U.S. House in Missouri’s 1st Congressional District to St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell.
Bell secured 51.2% of the vote, whereas Bush took 45.6%.
In her concession speech, Bush said, “All they did was radicalize me and now they need to be afraid!”
“AIPAC, I’m coming to tear your kingdom down!” she declared, referring to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
In a statement following his victory, Bell said, “I am deeply honored and humbled by the trust the people of this district have placed in me.”
He added that he is “committed to serving the St. Louis region in Congress with integrity, transparency, and dedication.”
Another “Squad” member, Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), lost his re-election bid for Congress in June to Democrat George Latimer.
