Congress Demands Investigation into Attacks on Tesla Dealerships

House Speaker Mike Johnson announced that Congress will investigate the attacks on Tesla dealerships amid reports of vandalism.

“Congress will investigate the sources of these attacks and help the DOJ & FBI ensure those responsible are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Johnson wrote on X.

When asked if he would consider those behind the attacks domestic terrorists, President Trump said, “I’ll do it. I’m gonna stop ’em. We catch anybody doing it, because they’re harming a great American company.” He added, “When you hurt an American company, especially a company like this that supplies so many American jobs… those people are gonna go through a big problem when we catch them. We’ve got a lot of cameras up. We already know who some of them are. We’re gonna catch them.”

The House Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency, chaired by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel, urging them to launch an investigation into attacks targeting Tesla dealerships, charging stations, and vehicles.

“These attacks, which seem to involve coordinated acts of vandalism, arson, and other acts of violence, seriously threaten public safety,” the letter says. “Reports suggest that groups like Antifa, known for their history of domestic terrorism, including throughout the summer of 2020 following the death of George Floyd, may be involved in the recent Tesla attacks.”

The letter noted that some reports have linked Democrat-affiliated non-governmental organizations to the attacks.

Attacks on Tesla have been reported in Massachusetts, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, and other states.
