Columbia University’s anti-Israel protesters returned to the school to set up another encampment during class reunions.
Students revealed a to-scale cardboard missile featuring images of Columbia President Minouche Shafik and other officials with the university.
“This is a to-scale MK-84 2000lb 13ft missile. Hundreds have dropped on Gaza. One (1) would level Columbia,” a sign read.
Security later arrived to remove the encampments.
Shafik sent a letter to the Columbia University community discussing the newest encampment, saying that faculty approached the tents to “initiate discussions with student leaders.”
She described this step as an “effort to establish dialogue.”
The letter, obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, described the encampment as consisting of “seven tents,” noting that “most protestors had relocated to an adjacent, large-scale tent that had previously been erected by the university.”
The encampment was taken down following the alumni reunions.
