Chris Pratt and Elon Musk have both expressed their support for billionaire Rick Caruso just ahead of the midterm elections.

- Pratt claims that after seeing the city’s decline over the past few years, he is endorsing Caruso over opponent and outspoken progressive Karen Bass in Tuesday’s election.
- “I’ve lived in LA for over 20 years. It’s been great to me. In that time I’ve seen what many residents here have seen, the city’s gradual decline into pain and utter disarray,” Pratt wrote in a social media post. “If you live here, you know exactly what I’m talking about.”
- “I don’t normally support political candidates. But in this election, there’s too much to lose,” the actor continued. “If you’re an LA voter, I urge you to vote for @rickcarusola.”
MUSK ON ENDORSING RICK CARUSO:
“Los Angeles is fortunate to have someone like Rick Caruso running for mayor. He’s awesome,” Musk said.
BACKGROUND:
- Caruso, a former registered Republican, is now a self-described centrist facing progressive candidate and congresswoman Karen Bass.
- Bass has been endorsed by former President Barack Obama, Vice President Kamala Harris, Hilary Clinton, and President Biden, according to her website.
