Catholic Organization Holds Prayer Event at Mar-a-Lago

Earlier this week, Catholics for Catholics held an event at Mar-a-Lago to come together and pray for Donald Trump and the United States.

“Our Catholic faith impels us to make our voices heard in the public square as Jesus Christ instructed us not to keep our light under a basket,” the group’s website reads.

“We garnered the attention of the liberal media. They were not happy with this,” Catholics for Catholics CEO John Yep told The Post Millennial. “They published their hit pieces, which is automatically a good sign that we are over the target.”

“Furthermore, the amount of Catholic leaders that came to the Mar-a-Lago shows itself. And the fact that we sold out in a week and a half — incredible total success.”

General Mike Flynn spoke at the event and implored the audience to exercise their First Amendment right to practice their faith.

“They’re going to put the labels on us, ‘Christian Nationalist,’ all this crazy stuff … that’s total nonsense,” he said.

Daily Wire host Michael Knowles also appeared at the event, speaking on the attack on children’s education. “Parents might not want pornography in their kids’ elementary school,” he said. “They might not want drag queens reading to their children in the libraries. They might not want teachers calling their son Sally in the fifth grade, but that’s just too bad, according to the libs, who insist that parents have no right to object.”

American Faith previously reported that a report from the House GOP Weaponization of Government Committee found that the FBI targeted Catholics in a “domestic extremism” investigation.

“While the FBI claims it ‘does not categorize investigations as domestic terrorism based on the religious beliefs—to include Catholicism—of the subject involved,’ an FBI-wide memorandum originating from the FBI’s Richmond Field Office did just that,” the report said.

“Without the disclosure of the brave whistleblower, the Richmond memorandum would still be operative in FBI systems, violating the religious liberties of millions of Catholic Americans,” the committee wrote, adding that the “FBI singled out Americans who are pro-life, pro-family, and support the biological basis for sex and gender distinction as potential domestic terrorists.”
