President Biden promised “no more drilling” after a climate change protester confronted him about drilling oil Sunday.

QUICK FACTS:
  • Joe Biden on Sunday promised there would be “no more drilling” after a climate activist confronted him at a campaign event for New York Governor Kathy Hochul.
  • “No more drilling,” Biden responded to a heckler during his speech. “There is no more drilling. I haven’t formed any new drilling.”
  • When the protester responded that there are “at least five more years of offshore drilling,” the President responded, “That was before I was president. We’re trying to work on that and get that done.”
  • Biden’s administration has not only approved more drilling for oil and gas on federal lands and waters, but it has also announced many new permits for these operations, Forbes reported.
BIDEN ON CLOSING EVERY COAL PLANT IN THE U.S. & CREATING A “WIND” GENERATION:

“We’re going to be shutting these plants down all across America and having wind and solar power,” Biden said last week.

BACKGROUND:
  • In May 2022, Biden admitted during a speech that the massive spike in gas prices was being used to make far-reaching economic changes, telling the audience the high prices were part of the push for green energy, American Faith reported.
  • “When it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that God willing when it’s over we’ll be stronger. The world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,” Biden said at the time.
  • A report from the Department of the Interior in Sept. 2022 revealed the Biden admin has leased fewer acres of land for oil and gas drilling on federal lands and waters since former President Harry Truman in the 1940s.
  • “Joe Biden has been, I won’t say a closet radical, but simply a radical throughout his entire career in public service,” Larry Behrans, communications director for Power the Future, told One America News.
  • “The green ideology and the cult of the environmental movement is more important than American family budgets,” Behrans said. “It’s really that simple.”
