Biden Claims Trump is ‘Threat to Democracy’ As Court Removes Biden’s Political Rival

President Joe Biden responded to Donald Trump’s ban from the Colorado GOP Primary ballot, claiming that Trump “supported an insurrection.”

When asked if Trump is an “insurrectionist,” Biden said the matter is “self-evident.”

“You saw it all. Now, whether the 14th Amendment applies, I’ll let the court make that decision. But he certainly supported an insurrection. No question about it. None. Zero.”

Trump has not been charged with inciting an insurrection.

Biden emphasized on X that Trump “poses many threats to our country,” including the “right to choose, civil rights, voting rights, and America’s standing in the world.”

“But the greatest threat he poses is to our democracy,” he continued. “If we lose that, we lose everything.”

Conservative activist Scott Presler responded to the tweet, saying that Biden is a threat to the United States.

“You pose an existential threat to our country,” he wrote. “You won’t secure our border, which lets in guns, FBI watchlist terrorists, & drugs. Your weak leadership inspired Putin to invade Ukraine & Hamas to attack Israel. You spend recklessly & increase inflation. You are the threat.”

A dissenting Colorado judge on the decision to ban Donald Trump from the state’s GOP primary ballot wrote in his opinion that he has been “involved in the justice system for thirty-three years now, and what took place here doesn’t resemble anything I’ve seen in a courtroom.”

“There was no fair trial either,” he remarked.

“The decision to bar former President Donald J. Trump — by all accounts the current leading Republican presidential candidate (and reportedly the current leading overall presidential candidate) — from Colorado’s presidential primary ballot flies in the face of the due process doctrine,” Samour wrote. “Even if we are convinced that a candidate committed horrible acts in the past — dare I say, engaged in insurrection — there must be procedural due process before we can declare that individual disqualified from holding public office.”
