Since 2021, the Biden administration has given more than $1 billion in Palestinian aid to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), an agency discovered to have pro-Hamas employees.
American Faith previously reported that the U.S. announced it was suspending funding to UNRWA following allegations that the agency’s staff was involved in the October 7 attacks against Israel.
According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, intelligence shared with the United States uncovered that an estimated 49% of UNRWA employees had “close relatives” connected to “militant groups, especially Hamas.”
Twenty-three percent of UNRWA’s male employees were also tied to Hamas, the outlet noted.
A 2023 report from U.N. Watch and IMPACT alleged that schools operated by UNWRA endorse violence.
An Islamic education exam asks students whether the statement, “Liberating the Al-Aqsa Mosque and making sacrifices for it is an obligation for all Muslims” is true or false. The answer is “true,” according to the document.
“It employs a common Palestinian tactic of using the Al-Aqsa Mosque as a pretext to incite violence against Jews and Israelis, claiming it needs to be ‘liberated,'” the report explains.

Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris called for an “immediate ceasefire” between Israel and Hamas.
Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) shared on X that “VP Kamala Hamas – oops, we mean Harris- demands Israel give up its right to self-defense and urges the U.S. to fund Gaza, despite reports of UN aid agency UNWRA sponsoring 450 terrorists.”
“This administration jumps at every & any opportunity to put America last,” she added.
