Current Australian data puts myocarditis cases at 1,330.
QUICK FACTS:
- The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in Australia declared that reports of myocarditis and pericarditis injuries resulting from the COVID-19 vaccine will cease.
- Whereas myocarditis is the inflammation of the heart, pericarditis is the inflammation of the membrane around the heart.
- Both are considered dangerous side effects of mRNA vaccines.
- “While we will continue to monitor and review these adverse effects and will communicate any updated safety advice if needed, we will not routinely include a section on these adverse effects in this report,” the TGA states on its website.
- The agency added that the decision follows “stable” reporting rates.
- The move to end reporting also comes as death from cardiac issues is increasing in Australia.
- Deaths from cardiac conditions not related to ischaemic heart disease were 19.8% greater than the average.
- Other cardiac-related deaths from January to March 2023 were 17.5% greater than the average.
- According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), the “age-standardised death rate for deaths due to other cardiac conditions was 2.1 per 100,000 people in March 2023. This compares to a baseline average rate of 2.0 and a rate of 2.2 in March 2022.”
MODERNA VACCINE RISKS:
- Cases of myocarditis have been linked to Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccines.
- European countries began investigating the rise of myocarditis after adolescents and young adults experienced the heart condition, leading some countries to caution against the use of Moderna’s vaccine.
- Despite ongoing health concerns from the mRNA vaccine, the Australian Health Department said in a statement that the “benefits of vaccination with Moderna greatly outweigh the risk of side effects.”
- “Very large clinical trials have shown that Moderna is effective in preventing and protecting against serious illness from COVID-19 in people aged 12 years and older,” the health body continued.
BACKGROUND:
- An Australian doctor has filed a lawsuit against the government over COVID-19 vaccine injuries, contending that “the Therapeutic Goods Administration [TGA] did not fulfill their duty to properly regulate the COVID-19 vaccines, resulting in considerable harm and damage to Australians.”
- The lawsuit alleges that the government’s push and support for the vaccines was “negligent or wrongful,” resulting in Australians being injured and suffering economic loss.
- “The claim now proceeds upon the basis that the government, in fact, acted negligently in approving the vaccines and also by failing to withdraw them after approval based upon the known evidence,” said Natalie Strijland from NR Barbi Solicitor.
