Antifa Threats Explode as Let’s Go Washington Pushes Back

The FBI has alerted organizers of a pro-family campaign in Washington State that Antifa-affiliated groups are threatening violence and disruption at a signature gathering event in Tumwater this Saturday. The group, Let’s Go Washington (LGW), is collecting signatures for two conservative ballot initiatives focused on protecting girls’ sports and restoring parental rights in education.

Tumwater Police notified LGW of the FBI’s warning, according to group spokesperson Hallie Balch. She stated that law enforcement confirmed credible threats and recommended the group enhance its private security measures for the weekend event. “They’re planning to come out and cause a ruckus essentially,” Balch said, adding that LGW has already increased its security presence.

LGW founder Brian Heywood issued a statement condemning the threats. “Antifa’s goal is to threaten and intimidate Washington citizens into silence,” he said. “It won’t work.” Heywood noted that this isn’t the first time LGW has faced political violence, reporting more than 50 physical assaults on volunteers and even a hit-and-run involving a stolen signature petition.

LGW has continued its campaign efforts despite these attacks. As of this week, the group has collected 315,979 signatures for Initiative IL26-638, which would bar biological males from competing in girls’ and women’s sports. Another 298,571 signatures have been gathered for Initiative IL26-001, which seeks to codify a Parents’ Bill of Rights into state law.

To qualify for the 2026 ballot, each initiative requires 309,000 valid signatures by January 2. These totals reflect strong grassroots support, especially in socially conservative parts of the state. Both measures aim to challenge progressive policies surrounding gender ideology and transparency in public education.

According to Balch, this is the first time the FBI has issued a threat warning concerning one of LGW’s events, indicating heightened concern over potential violence. The group says it remains undeterred.

“We will not be silenced by intimidation or even violence,” said Heywood. “Girls deserve fairness in sports, and parents have a right to know what’s going on in their child’s classroom. We are proud to continue fighting for those rights.”
