Anti-Trump Republicans Raise $35 Million for Harris Campaign

Republicans against former President Donald Trump raised $35 million in support of Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign.

Republican Voters Against Trump (RVAT) raised $10 million for Democrats during the 2020 election.

Americans from all 50 states contributed to the effort, with donations ranging from $1 to seven figures. The group aims to raise $50 million.

RVAT spokesperson Tony Franquiz told Newsweek that the group has a “broad and robust donor base of supporters from around the country who want to protect democracy.”

The group recently launched an $11.5 million ad blitz across swing states such as Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.

RVAT spent $4.5 million in Pennsylvania, $3 million in Michigan, $2.2 million in Wisconsin, $1.5 million in Arizona, and $375,000 in Nebraska’s second congressional district, a press release explains.

Compared to RVAT’s fundraising, Pro-Trump groups have raised $574 million, according to Open Secrets.
