Alina Habba Declines Potential Trump Press Secretary Role, Plans to Serve in Other Capacities

Alina Habba, an attorney known for representing President-elect Donald Trump in high-profile legal battles, clarified on Thursday that she will not pursue the role of press secretary in Trump’s anticipated administration. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Habba addressed recent rumors, confirming she would instead take on other responsibilities.

“While I am flattered by the support and speculation, the role of Press Secretary is not a role I am considering,” Habba wrote. “Although I love screaming from a podium, I will be better served in other capacities.” She also expressed enthusiasm for Trump’s team and the new appointments, saying, “This administration is going to be epic! So proud of the Trump team, the latest appointments and 47!”

Speculation around Habba’s possible role as press secretary had been fueled by her close work with Trump, including her involvement in his recent civil fraud case in New York. By confirming she will focus on other areas, Habba signals her commitment to supporting Trump’s administration through different avenues rather than a high-profile public-facing position.
