Unreleased video that purportedly showed a Planned Parenthood staffer discussing the sale of the body parts of aborted newborns was made public on Tuesday. The video was taken years ago while Kamala Harris, the vice president at the moment, was the attorney general of California.
In the five-minute video, an undercover reporter from the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) speaks with Dr. Stacy De-Lin, the medical director for abortion services at Planned Parenthood New York City. De-Lin appears to have acknowledged during their talk that Planned Parenthood would sell the aborted babies livers.
A CMP investigator tells De-Lin in one footage that she “could pay you $1,000, up to $1,500 for a liver.”
“Yes, that’s fantastic,” De-Lin answers. The CMP video states, “I think a financial incentive from you guys like, to the people we have to get this approved from, will be very happy about it.”
In 2016, two weeks after meeting with Planned Parenthood officials and after the group specifically requested that the devices used for the undercover videos be seized, Harris’ staff confiscated material from a raid on CMP President David Daleiden’s California home.
The entire tapes demonstrate why they did, said Daleiden.
Daleiden told The Daily Wire on Wednesday, “You can see just from the first video why Planned Parenthood tried so hard to cover this up for eight years.” “They tried to ensure that the admissions on these undercover tapes never see the light of day for years, using millions of taxpayer dollars.”
A federal judge barred CMP from releasing the entire footage that was seized for eight years in 2016. Earlier this year, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) used a subpoena to obtain the tape. This year, her office started to share snippets of the films; on Tuesday, the entire footage was made available.
While stating that they will do “fully intact” dilation and evacuation abortions, which are classified as partial-birth abortions, De-Lin seems to be acknowledging in the film that Planned Parenthood New York City performed unlawful abortions.
After the undercover investigator stated she would pay extra for intact unborn infants, De-Lin responds, “We certainly do intact D&Es.”
The entire footage, in Daleiden’s words, is “too incriminating to explain away.”
“And that’s why they went, eight years ago, to such incredible lengths to ask Kamala Harris when she was Attorney General of California to use the powers of her office to raid my home, try to seize all the original copies of the undercover footage, and prevent it from continuing to be published,” Daleiden said.
De-Lin, who is currently employed at Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, did not answer messages left on her phone or email on her thoughts on the films. Additionally, Planned Parenthood did not respond to a request for comment.
In the upcoming weeks, Daleiden predicted that lawmakers will unblock other CMP recordings that had previously been restricted.
In her 2024 campaign, Harris has made abortion a focal point, criticizing former President Donald Trump for reversing Roe v. Wade.
Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion organizations have long supported her, and over her career, the pro-abortion lobby has contributed tens of thousands of dollars to her campaign.
Planned Parenthood Action dubbed Harris “OUR Reproductive Health Champion” in an advertisement campaign that debuted in 2020. “Nine Reasons to Love Kamala Harris” was the title of an article that Planned Parenthood Votes published that year.
