Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) sent a letter to his Republican colleagues in both the House and Senate, outlining what the GOP must accomplish before the end of the 119th Congress.
“We were elected to deliver what we promised the American people, not to campaign for re-election,” he wrote. “Delivering on decisive policy mandates is the best way to grow a majority. We’ve demonstrated that we are capable of delivering on those transformative policies – as we did in the Laken Riley/SUE Act, and certain parts of the OBBB. However, we simply have not done enough – failing to codify border security, pause immigration and define birthright citizenship, protect citizens from warrantless surveillance, ban congressional stock trading, Make America Healthy Again, and countless other issues.”
Urging his colleagues to “finish the job,” Roy detailed several priorities designed to make Republicans succeed in the “remaining six months of this Congress.”
The congressman called for codifying border security, enacting the SAVE America Act, combatting the rise of Sharia Law in the United States, develop nuclear power and empower energy freedom, protect Americans from a surveillance state, ban congressional stock trading, support making America healthy again, protect U.S.land from foreign ownership, reduce the national deficit, and other efforts.
Roy also demanded that Congress take steps to protect children and pass a constitutional amendment for term limits.
“Republicans MUST do what we said we would do,” the congressman wrote on X. “Codify border security. PAUSE immigration. End birthright. SAVE America. “Deliver—or watch American sovereignty slip away.”
