Trump Provides Millions in Disaster Aid

President Trump announced that he has approved millions of dollars in disaster aid for several states.

The disaster aid was granted to Idaho, Georgia, Michigan, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Missouri, Mississippi, and Kansas for various storms and weather incidents.

“I am pleased to announce that the Great State of Michigan has been approved to be given $32.1 Million Dollars in its Disaster Declaration Request, for Severe Storms, Tornadoes, and Flooding. I have so informed Governor Gretchen Whitmer of this approval. She was very grateful,” Trump wrote. “The people of Michigan are in good hands with ‘Trump Endorsed’ Mike Rogers, who is running for U.S. Senate, John James for Governor, and Congressmen Jack Bergman, John Moolenaar, Bill Huizenga, Tim Walberg, Tom Barrett, and Lisa McClain. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Addressing aid to Georgia, Trump wrote on the platform, “I just spoke with Governor Brian Kemp, and informed him that the Great State of Georgia has been approved to be given $318.3 Million Dollars in its Disaster Declaration Request related to Hurricane Helene. I love the people of Georgia — My Great Honor. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Trump addressed other states’ aid in social media posts.

Lawmakers thanked President Trump for the aid.

“I appreciate your swift approval of our request for disaster assistance,” Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) said in a statement. “This funding will provide much-needed relief to Cherokee, Osage, Morris, Saline, and Wabaunsee counties as they continue recovering from April’s severe storms.”

Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) said in a statement, “Grateful to President Trump for approving Mississippi’s request for a Major Disaster Declaration following the devastating tornadoes that struck our communities in South Mississippi in May. This support will help devastated areas rebuild, repair, and recover. I’ll continue working with Governor Reeves and FEMA to ensure folks get the resources they need.”
