White House Details ‘Full-Scale War’ on Fraud

A White House news release details how the Trump administration is waging war on fraud, explaining the ways in which President Trump and Vice President JD Vance have unleashed an “unrelenting, full-scale assault on the fraudsters, scammers, and corrupt operators who have looted billions from American taxpayers.”

The release shared more than two dozen actions taken by the Trump administration to combat fraud. These actions include pausing nearly $260 million in Medicaid payments to Minnesota in February, suspending hospice and home health providers in Los Angeles in March, and uncovering $6.3 billion in likely fraudulent government contracts in April.

“This is only the beginning,” the White House declared. “The Trump Administration will continue this relentless effort until every scheme is exposed, every dollar possible is recovered, and the American people’s trust in their government is restored.”

Stephen Miller, a member of the Trump administration who serves as the Senior Advisor to the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, said during a task force meeting, “Within weeks of this task force being established, we’ve seen the largest-ever slate of indictments, recovered funds, search warrants, raids, seizures, investigations, and new legal actions to stop, disrupt, and prevent fraud.”

President Trump established the task force combatting fraud in March. The order condemns the exploitation of programs “intended to provide a safety net to lawfully eligible Americans” by “illegal aliens, criminals, foreign gangs, bureaucrats, State and local officials, non-governmental organizations, and ineligible providers.” It declares that the Trump administration “will use all available resources and authorities to fight fraud, close loopholes, enforce eligibility rules, and protect benefits for eligible Americans, while ensuring States administering Federal benefits programs do the same.”
