Giuliani Released from ICU

Former Republican New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is out of the intensive care unit (ICU) after being hospitalized over the weekend.

Spokesman Ted Goodman said Giuliana will still remain in the hospital.

“Mayor Giuliani is out of the ICU and will spend some time recovering before leaving the hospital,” he wrote on X. “The mayor and his family appreciate the outpouring of love and prayers sent his way. Mayor Giuliani—the man who took down the Mafia, saved New York City, and ran toward the towers on September 11th—is the same fighter he’s always been, and he’s winning this fight.”

“The power of prayer is working. The mayor feels it. We feel it. Please keep them coming for America’s Mayor, Rudy Giuliani.”

Giuliani is recovering from pneumonia, Goodman said earlier this week. His lungs were compromised after he “ran toward the towers to help those in need” in the aftermath of 9/11, which “later led to a diagnosis of restrictive airway disease.”

“This condition adds complications to any respiratory illness, and the virus quickly overwhelmed his body, requiring mechanical ventilation to maintain adequate oxygen and stabilize his condition,” the spokesman added.

President Trump wrote a tribute to Giuliani on Truth Social upon hearing the news. “Our fabulous Rudy Giuliani, a True Warrior, and the Best Mayor in the History of New York City, BY FAR, has been hospitalized, and is in critical condition,” he wrote. “What a tragedy that he was treated so badly by the Radical Left Lunatics, Democrats ALL — AND HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING! They cheated on the Elections, fabricated hundreds of stories, did anything possible to destroy our Nation, and now, look at Rudy. So sad!”
