State Department to Roll Out America 250 Passports

The State Department is releasing a commemorative passport for the nation’s 250th anniversary featuring an image of President Trump.

“As the United States celebrates America’s 250th anniversary in July, the State Department is preparing to release a limited number of specially designed US passports to commemorate this historic occasion,” State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott told Fox News. The new design will continue “maintaining the same security features that make the US Passport the most secure document in the world,” Pigott added.

Mock designs obtained by the outlet show a picture of Trump surrounded by the text of the Declaration of Independence. Another page shows the founding fathers during the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

A Department official told Fox News that the new design will be available for “any American citizen” who applies for a passport following its launch, expected in July. The passports will only be available at the Washington Passport Agency.

The passport announcement is one of several actions featuring President Trump in honor of the 250th.

The Commission of Fine Arts (CFA) approved the final design for a commemorative coin featuring an image of President Trump. The top half of the coin spells “LIBERTY” and features 1776 and 2026. The phrase “IN GOD WE TRUST” is at the bottom with seven stars on one side of the coin and six stars on the other. The reverse side of the coin features a bald eagle.

President Trump’s signature is also set to appear on U.S. paper currency in honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary. The move is the first for a sitting president and will appear alongside Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s signature.
