World Leaders Sign Board of Peace

President Trump unveiled the Board of Peace for Gaza on Thursday, with world leaders signing the agreement during the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) summit in Davos, Switzerland.

“This board has the chance to be one of the most consequential bodies ever created, and it’s my enormous honor to serve as its chairman. I was very honored when they asked me to do it,” Trump said, adding, “We had an idea to do it, and then they came, they said, ‘Would you be the chairman?’… I take it very seriously. We have a great group of people and incredible young people that are leading it from within.”

He noted that he likes “every single one of them.”

“Can you believe it? Usually, I have about two or three that I can’t stand. Usually, I have two or three that I don’t like,” Trump joked. “I don’t find them up here. I like every one of these people… They’re great leaders.”

A White House statement on the peace board listed its appointed members as: Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, private equity executive Marc Rowan, World Bank Group President Ajay Banga, and Deputy National Security Adviser Robert Gabriel.

The Trump administration further listed CEO of the Abraham Accord Peace Institute Aryeh Lightstone and Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) Commissioner Josh Gruenbaum as “senior advisors to the Board of Peace, charged with leading day-to-day strategy and operations, and translating the Board’s mandate and diplomatic priorities into disciplined execution.”
