A man identifying as a woman was sentenced to three and a half years in a male prison after being convicted of highly inappropriate conduct toward a 13-year-old girl in Sutherland, England. The individual, born Ryan Haley and now identifying as “Natalie Wolf,” was found guilty at Newcastle Crown Court on November 28 of engaging in unlawful contact with a minor.
The incident occurred in October 2023. During sentencing, Wolf denied the charges and claimed the victim and members of the court had been “hypnotized.” He also insisted he was not attracted to females and accused the victim of being dishonest.
Judge Gavin Doig rejected Wolf’s claims, stating, “You are not the victim of a conspiracy. You are not the victim at all. The young woman is the victim, and the sooner you accept that, the better it will be going forward.”
The victim, now an adult, gave a statement to the court, describing the lasting emotional impact of the incident. She addressed Wolf by his birth name and said the experience affected her for years. “Ryan, you destroyed me as a child, a teenager, and an adult. Today, Ryan Haley, you are going to get what you deserve,” she told the court.
Judge Doig commended her for having the courage to come forward, acknowledging the difficulty of speaking publicly about such a case.
Wolf has 13 prior convictions, though none were related to similar offenses. The court also heard that he has been diagnosed with a personality disorder and other mental health conditions. In addition to the prison sentence, Wolf was given a sexual harm prevention order, an indefinite restraining order, and lifetime placement on the sex offender registry.
