President Trump terminated all documents, orders, and contracts signed by former President Joe Biden through the use of the autopen.
“Any and all Documents, Proclamations, Executive Orders, Memorandums, or Contracts, signed by Order of the now infamous and unauthorized ‘AUTOPEN,’ within the Administration of Joseph R. Biden Jr., are hereby null, void, and of no further force or effect. Anyone receiving ‘Pardons,’ ‘Commutations,’ or any other Legal Document so signed, please be advised that said Document has been fully and completely terminated, and is of no Legal effect. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump declared on Truth Social.
The statement doubles down on an earlier comment by Trump, where he asserted that the autopen signatures are of “no further force or effect.”
“Any document signed by Sleepy Joe Biden with the Autopen, which was approximately 92% of them, is hereby terminated, and of no further force or effect. The Autopen is not allowed to be used if approval is not specifically given by the President of the United States,” he said on Friday.
Just the News obtained a memo from White House Counsel David Warrington to President Trump’s Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, questioning the use of the autopen. “The January 2025 commutation of nearly 2,500 individuals for crack-powder sentencing disparities required only three signatures. WHC does not raise this solely because of President Biden’s obvious falsehood. Whether done for simplicity or due to President Biden’s diminished faculties, the practice of structuring pardons or commutations so that the fewest number of signatures would be needed created several problems,” the memo read.
