Nate Morris Says Only He Can Defeat McConnell’s Machine

Kentucky Republican Senate candidate Nate Morris called the race to replace outgoing Sen. Mitch McConnell the “final boss” for the MAGA movement during an interview with Breitbart News Saturday.

Morris, a pro-Trump businessman and ninth-generation Kentuckian, told host Matthew Boyle that defeating the McConnell political machine is essential to ensuring the long-term survival of MAGA principles. “We have to send a signal right here in Kentucky that we’re going to take out the trash and say MAGA is here to stay,” Morris said. “And Mitch McConnell is the final boss for MAGA to live on for generations.”

Raised by a single mother in a union household, Morris emphasized his working-class roots and entrepreneurial rise. “We may not have a lot of money, but it’s free to think big,” he recalled his mother saying. With $10,000 on a credit card, Morris started a waste management company that now generates over $700 million in revenue.

Morris also took aim at his primary opponents, Rep. Andy Barr (R-KY) and former Attorney General Daniel Cameron, labeling both as products of McConnell’s establishment. “They’re career politicians,” Morris said. “Andy Barr is a backbencher congressman who cares more about the people of Ukraine than the people of Kentucky,” he added. As for Cameron, Morris pointed out his failed 2023 gubernatorial bid, noting Trump blamed the loss on his ties to McConnell.

Morris suggested that his entrance into the race disrupts McConnell’s plans to install a loyal successor. “We have disrupted the Mitch McConnell legacy,” he said, touting his candidacy as a grassroots alternative to the entrenched political establishment.

With the McConnell era nearing its end, Morris is positioning himself as the Trump-aligned outsider ready to bring generational change to Kentucky politics—and he’s not backing down from the fight.
