Moreno Blasts Biden, ‘Immigration Killing Working Class’

Senator Bernie Moreno (R‑OH) delivered a blunt rebuke of President Joe Biden’s immigration and economic policies during a Thursday event with Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow, accusing the administration of “totally and completely” gutting the American working class by importing more than 10 million foreign workers.

Moreno linked the rise in housing, insurance, and food costs to mass immigration, saying the flood of illegal and unvetted labor under Biden has created a nationwide affordability crisis. “They brought in millions… caused a housing crisis, caused an insurance crisis, caused a food crisis,” Moreno said, arguing that these policies have made the American dream feel increasingly out of reach—especially for young people.

He emphasized that Republicans must act with “total and complete urgency” to reverse the damage done over the past four years. “We’ve got to move with quicker urgency,” he warned. “The gut punch the working class took… can’t be overstated.”

Moreno noted that some economic indicators have recently improved, such as apartment rental prices and job numbers, but insisted that these modest gains do not erase the broader crisis fueled by open-border policies.

When asked by Marlow about specific policy solutions, Moreno was clear: mass deportations must be part of the Republican agenda. “We’ve got to talk about why deportations at scale matter,” he said, pushing back on claims that the Trump immigration agenda targets Hispanics. “I wasn’t born in this country. I’m Hispanic. I don’t view myself as being targeted.”

He used a simple analogy: “If I broke into your house, you wouldn’t say, ‘Now that you’re here, I’m going to feed you, clothe you, and take care of you.’” Instead, he argued, unlawful entry must be met with firm consequences—starting with removal.
