Leftists Attack Lamar Jackson for Sharing ‘It’s All About Jesus’ Post

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson came under fire from left-wing critics after he reposted a message about Jesus Christ originally shared by conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. The post itself was not political, simply reading: “It’s all about Jesus.”

Jackson, who has been open about his Christian faith throughout his career, reposted the message without comment. Yet his expression of belief drew immediate backlash from progressives on social media, many of whom turned their attacks toward both Jackson and Kirk.

One user admitted that Jackson likely shared the post only for its Christian message but then smeared Kirk as “the second spawn of Satan himself.” Another accused Kirk of being “pro-slavery,” writing, “Charlie Kirk would have my man in chains if it were up to him, — Lamar, embarrassing.” Others mocked Jackson personally, suggesting he should have avoided reposting the message because of Kirk’s political affiliations.

But while critics tried to turn a simple affirmation of faith into a controversy, Jackson also received widespread support. Many praised him for boldly sharing a Christ-centered message despite hostility. Supporters blasted the left for what they saw as a double standard—attacking Christians for their beliefs while claiming to champion tolerance.

The episode highlights growing tension in American culture over expressions of faith, especially when linked, however indirectly, to conservative figures. For Jackson, the post was consistent with his well-known devotion to his faith. For his critics, any association with Kirk was unacceptable.

Despite the attacks, the overwhelming response from many fans was gratitude that a high-profile NFL star would openly share his faith in Jesus Christ.
