A pro-Trump super PAC has launched a hard-hitting ad campaign against Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), accusing the congressman of siding with Democrats and betraying President Donald Trump’s America First agenda. The group, MAGA Kentucky, is run by top Trump allies and backed by major Republican donors.
The 30-second spot highlights Massie’s vote against Trump’s signature reconciliation bill, criticizing him for joining Democrats in opposition. The ad asserts Massie turned his back on working-class tax relief by rejecting provisions that ended taxes on tips for single moms, overtime pay for police, and Social Security for seniors.
“Who’s Thomas Massie fighting for?” the narrator asks. “Not the American worker. Let’s fire Thomas Massie.”
In March, Trump pledged to lead a primary challenge against Massie after the Kentucky Republican opposed a continuing resolution supported by GOP leadership. Trump reiterated that stance in June after Massie voted with Democrats against a military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
“Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky is not MAGA,” Trump said on Truth Social. “He is a negative force who almost always votes ‘NO,’ no matter how good something may be.”
Massie has faced criticism from within the party for consistently opposing major GOP legislation. He also introduced bipartisan legislation earlier this year aimed at limiting Trump’s executive power in the Israel-Iran conflict and was one of only two Republicans to vote against a recent budget continuation bill.
MAGA Kentucky is led by Trump campaign veterans Chris LaCivita and Tony Fabrizio and is well-funded, with $1.5 million in cash on hand. Top donors include John Paulson, Paul Singer, and a super PAC linked to Miriam Adelson.
Massie responded by accusing the PAC of being funded by “three billionaires” and reaffirmed his commitment to challenging the Washington establishment.
