Russia: Nations May Arm Iran With Nukes

Russia’s leadership issued a provocative warning following U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, claiming multiple nations may now provide Tehran with nuclear weapons. The announcement raises serious concerns about global nuclear proliferation and increased tensions in the Middle East.

Russian Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev declared that unnamed countries are prepared to supply Iran with nuclear warheads in response to the recent American strikes. The U.S. targeted Iran’s fortified underground sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan using B-2 bombers and Massive Ordnance Penetrators.

Medvedev stated “The enrichment of nuclear material — and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons — will continue,” signaling that Iran may accelerate its nuclear program despite U.S. efforts to hinder it.

While Medvedev leveled strong accusations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov took a more diplomatic tone. Peskov announced that Russia is willing to act as a mediator between the U.S. and Iran and even offered to store enriched Iranian uranium for civilian reactor use.

“This proposal remains on the table, it remains relevant. But, of course, with the outbreak of hostilities, the situation has become seriously complicated,” Peskov stated.

“Russia remains ready to do everything necessary to eliminate the root causes of this crisis… But the situation is escalating more than seriously, and, of course, this is not affecting the situation for the better,” he added.

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned against further escalation, particularly any attempt at regime change in Tehran or targeting of Iran’s Supreme Leader. He said such rhetoric could unify Iranian leadership and spark broader conflict in the region.

These developments follow a bold move by President Trump’s administration, which demonstrated American military might by deploying long-range stealth bombers from Missouri to strike Iran. The mission aimed to dismantle Iran’s nuclear infrastructure without igniting a wider war.

If allies of Iran choose to transfer nuclear technology or warheads in defiance of U.S. deterrence, it could undermine global non-proliferation agreements and trigger a dangerous arms race in the region.
