Bernie Moreno Vows GOP Will Deliver Trump’s ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’

Senator Bernie Moreno (R-OH) declared Saturday that Republicans are fully committed to advancing President Donald Trump’s sweeping economic agenda, emphasizing that “failure is not an option” when it comes to making Trump-era tax cuts permanent and reviving American prosperity.

Appearing on Breitbart News Saturday, Moreno underscored the stakes of inaction: “Failure means a $4 trillion tax increase, the largest in American history, at a time when voters are already paying too much for everything else. So we have to make this tax reform permanent.”

Moreno voiced full support for what he dubbed Trump’s “big, beautiful bill”—a legislative package centered on renewing the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which lowered corporate taxes, doubled the child tax credit, and delivered widespread middle-class relief. Key provisions of the act are set to expire, and Moreno warned that letting them lapse would devastate working Americans.

Despite public perceptions of GOP division, Moreno reassured listeners that Republicans are unified behind the scenes. “There’s a couple that need to be, you know, maybe a little bit more talked to than others. But ultimately, because failure is not an option, we will [not] and cannot fail, and therefore I’m very confident,” he said.

Moreno also looked ahead to 2025 with optimism, noting that under a second Trump administration, fiscal policy and monetary leadership would align in favor of American growth. “Next year, we’ll have, actually, somebody with a brain in charge of the Federal Reserve that President Trump will pick. We’re going to lower interest rates at that point,” he said. “The golden age of this country is in front of us.”

He even called for branding the legislation itself: “I think the bill should legally be called the big, beautiful bill. Let’s make Democrats defend why they don’t like the big beautiful bill.”

Moreno expressed hope that the bill would be signed into law by Independence Day, calling it “an amazing celebration” for the American people.
