Democrat Calls for Street Uprising Against Trump

Democrat leaders are intensifying pressure against President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, with Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) now urging an “uprising” in the streets. Wilson made the call during a press conference after touring the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Krome Detention Center, where criminal illegal aliens are held pending deportation.

Wilson encouraged voters to directly “threaten” congressional Republicans by calling their offices. She told the crowd, “You have to do that, it’s going to take the people… We need an uprising where people are taking to the streets and the phones and writing letters.” Wilson claimed enforcement actions against illegal aliens were “not what America stands for,” demanding an end to the Trump administration’s strict interior enforcement agenda.

At the same time, Democrat officials are pressuring foreign governments over U.S. immigration actions. Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) recently traveled to El Salvador to lobby on behalf of a deported illegal alien accused of MS-13 gang ties, domestic abuse, and human trafficking. Van Hollen encouraged Americans to avoid visiting El Salvador, suggesting Costa Rica as an alternative destination, in protest.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker (D) is also considering economic retaliation against El Salvador. Pritzker is reviewing plans to divest Illinois state business from the country, threatening “economic pressure” unless the accused criminal is returned to the United States.

The Democrats’ actions underscore an increasingly aggressive strategy to undermine President Trump’s immigration enforcement measures, even as they advocate for individuals accused of violent crimes and gang affiliations.

President Trump’s administration has made interior immigration enforcement a central focus, prioritizing the removal of criminal illegal aliens and those who have defied court-ordered deportations. ICE facilities like Krome have seen an uptick in detainees as a result of stepped-up operations targeting violent offenders and repeat immigration violators.

Despite Democrats’ threats of protests and economic boycotts, President Trump has repeatedly emphasized the importance of upholding immigration law and protecting American communities. His administration maintains that enforcing existing immigration laws is critical to national security, public safety, and the preservation of American jobs.
