The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has updated its policy to recognize only two sexes—male and female—on immigration forms, reversing a previous policy that included an “another gender identity” option introduced in 2023 under the Biden administration.
Tricia McLaughlin, DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, stated, “There are only two sexes—male and female. President Trump promised the American people a revolution of common sense, and that includes making sure that the policy of the U.S. government agrees with simple biological reality.”
She went on to add, “Proper management of our immigration system is a matter of national security, not a place to promote and coddle an ideology that permanently harms children and robs real women of their dignity, safety and well-being.”
McLaughlin further emphasized that managing the immigration system is a matter of national security and should not be used to promote ideologies that could harm children and affect the dignity, safety, and well-being of women.
By restoring biological definitions, the Trump administration is prioritizing truth, national security, and the integrity of public institutions. This move reflects a broader commitment to push back against left-wing social policies and reestablish order based on scientific and moral foundations as seen in Trump’s executive order issued on January 20, titled “Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.”
