Actor Chris Pratt urged his followers to pray for Los Angeles firefighters battling the fast-moving wildfires engulfing the city for a second consecutive day. Pratt, known for his roles in Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World, took to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to share his concerns and gratitude for first responders.
“Join me in praying for the brave firefighters sacrificing so much to save our houses and our town. Jesus protect the lives of those battling the flames and the lives of those who couldn’t evacuate. #PalisadesFire,” Pratt wrote Wednesday morning.
Later, he posted another heartfelt message:
“Please send prayers and strength tonight to everyone in Los Angeles affected by these devastating fires. Los Angeles is in a state of emergency and over 30,000 have been ordered to evacuate. The wildfires began Tuesday morning in the mountains above Pacific Palisades, driven by fierce Santa Ana winds that reached speeds of 60 mph, with isolated gusts expected to top 100 mph in mountainous regions. Over 1,400 firefighters are on the front lines as evacuation orders impact over 30,000 residents and threaten more than 13,000 structures.
As flames continue to spread, Pratt’s calls for unity and prayer reflect the sentiment of many Angelenos relying on faith, resilience, and the tireless efforts of first responders during this emergency.
