Health Insurance CEOs Featured in New York ‘Wanted’ Posters

“Wanted” posters featuring the images of health insurance CEOs have been placed in Manhattan, New York. The posters say “Deny, Defend, Depose,” urging people to “fight back.”

The poster of killed UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson shows a red X.

The poster reads, “Deny: UnitedHealthcare denied more medical claims than any other health care company, killing everyday people for the sake of profit. As a result, Brian Thompson was denied his claim to life. Who will be denied next?”

Under “Defend,” it says, “Punishing the CEOs who profit violently off of suffering and death gives the power back to the people. Defend those who defend us against vultures like Brian Thompson.”

“Depose: Health insurance companies are our collective enemy. We must remove them and take their power and give it back to the people. Dethrone the CEOs!”

“When the rich rob the poor, it’s called business. When the poor fight back, it’s called violence,” the poster states.

“Health care CEOs should not feel safe,” it adds. “Deny, Defend, Depose.”

After the death of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, several leading health insurance companies removed or restricted access to their executive leadership pages.

Companies removing the leadership pages include United Healthcare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Caresource, Medica, and Elevance Health. United Healthcare’s “about us” page, which previously featured Thompson and other executives, now redirects to the company’s homepage, American Faith reported. “Similarly, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and Elevance Health replaced their executive pages with generic content or error messages.
