Tulsi Gabbard Appointed Director of National Intelligence

Former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard will serve as the next Director of National Intelligence (DNI).

“For over two decades, Tulsi has fought for our Country and the Freedoms of all Americans,” a statement from President-elect Donald Trump read. “As a former Candidate for the Democrat Presidential Nomination, she has broad support in both Parties – She is now a proud Republican! I know Tulsi will bring the fearless spirit that has defined her illustrious career to our Intelligence Community, championing our Constitutional Rights, and securing Peace through Strength. Tulsi will make us all proud!”

Gabbard announced in 2022 that she was leaving the Democratic Party to become an independent.

After endorsing Trump in August, Gabbard joined him on stage in October to announce that she joined the Republican Party.

“I’m joining the party of the people, the party of equality, the party that was founded to fight against and end slavery in this country,” she declared. “It is the party of common sense and the party that is led by a president who has the courage and strength to fight for peace.”

Gabbard urged Americans to “stand together to save our country.”

“A vote for President Trump is a vote for a big open-tent party that welcomes people from all backgrounds and all walks of life,” the former U.S. representative added. “A vote for President Trump is a vote to express our deep love for our country and our appreciation for our God-given rights and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution. A vote for President Trump is a vote for secure borders and safe communities, and a vote for President Trump is a vote for peace here in America and around the world.”
