Former First Lady Melania Trump released a video questioning law enforcement’s activities surrounding the assassination attempt on her husband.
“The attempt to end my husband’s life was a horrible, distressing experience. Now, the silence around it feels heavy,” she said. “I can’t help but wonder why didn’t law enforcement officials arrest the shooter before the speech. There is definitely more to this story and we need to uncover the truth.”
The video concluded by showing a video of her upcoming memoir, titled Melania.
A recent report from Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) providing details on the aftermath of the assassination attempt found that the FBI’s handling of the situation is “unheard of.”
The FBI “cleaned up biological evidence from the crime scene, which is unheard of,” he wrote. “Cops don’t do that, ever.”
Clay wrote that the “pattern of investigative scorched earth by the FBI” was “quite troubling.”
