The Knockout Suit: Trump’s Debate Attire Turned Trading Card Collectible

Parts of the suit that former President Donald Trump wore in the historic June debate with former Democratic candidate Joe Biden are on sale.

Through a video that was uploaded on Truth Social on Tuesday, the Republican candidate for president revealed a new set of trading cards. There are fifty new photos of Trump in different stances that are part of the “America First Collection.” During a promotional event, Trump clarified that supporters will receive a real card if they purchase 15 or more digital cards. A section of the suit he wore during the CNN presidential debate with Biden is seen beneath the photograph at the bottom of each card. He added that hand-signed cards would also be available.

“It’s really something, these cards show me dancing and even holding some Bitcoins,” Trump said.

It’s generally accepted that Vice President Kamala Harris emerged as the Democratic nominee after President Biden withdrew from the contest due to his appalling debate performance.

“People are calling it the knockout suit,” Trump added. “I don’t know about that, but that’s what they’re calling it.”

In the video, the former president also promised to bring viewers to dinner at Mar-a-Lago in Florida if they bought 75 digital trading cards, which are listed for $99 apiece.

The Trump trading cards gained popularity after they were released in December 2022. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) sold out in a matter of hours for the first batch. Trump has also released additional digital trading cards, such as the “MugShot Edition,” which shows pictures of him being checked into the Fulton County Jail.

In addition to bits of the suit that Trump wore that day, the physical cards from the MugShot collection featured an invitation to dine at Mar-a-Lago for anyone who bought 47 cards in one transaction.

Forbes reports that sales of the digital trading cards totaled $9 million over their first two editions.
