KY Governor’s Statement Suggests He Wishes Vance Family Member Was Raped

Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky sparked controversy after his speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) with comments directed at Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio regarding abortion policy.

Bashear’s comments came from a conversation on abortion policy in which the governor commented that Vance should be forced to watch a family member carry a baby to term after being raped.

Gov. Beshear’s comments aired this morning on ‘Morning Joe,’ MSNBC’s notoriously left-wing, Trump-hating platform.

“J.D. Vance calls pregnancy resulting from rape ‘inconvenient.’ Inconvenience is traffic. Make him go through this,” Beshear said.

Beshear’s words have been widely interpreted as inappropriate and insensitive.

William Martin, Vance’s Communications Director, released a statement on behalf of the Trump-Vance ticket, saying, “After speaking on the DNC main stage last night, Harris campaign surrogate Governor Andy Beshear went on national television this morning and explicitly called for a member of Senator Vance’s family to be raped. His comments are disgusting, vile, and should not be tolerated in American politics. We call on Kamala Harris to immediately repudiate Governor Beshear’s comments and demonstrate that regardless of partisan disagreements, this kind of violent rhetoric has no place in our public discourse.”

Outside the convention center, the presence of a mobile clinic offering reproductive health services, including abortion, has further highlighted the Democrats’ focus on abortion rights as a key campaign issue for 2024.

This mobile clinic has become a symbol of the party’s stance on reproductive rights, highlighting thier stance and support of the culture of death that has already claimed the lives of over one million unborn babies in 2023 alone.
