$370 Million Ad Blitz: Harris Targets Swing States in Presidential Race

The campaign of Vice President Harris for the presidency has committed $370 million to a major advertising blitz in key battleground states during the final eight weeks leading up to election day.

A memo released on Saturday by the Harris-Walz campaign outlines that they have planned $170 million worth of TV ad spots targeting vital swing states starting just after September 3.

An additional $200 million is set aside for digital advertising across platforms such as Hulu, Roku, and YouTube. The strategy is to gain maximum exposure by airing ads during popular, high-cost events like major sports games and the debuts of new TV seasons, the memo specified.

The campaign also plans to place ads on Fox News, aiming to appeal to GOP-leaning voters who are doubtful about Trump.

Despite Trump having had a fundraising lead over Biden during the summer months, Harris’s rise to the forefront has spurred a surge in donations for the Democrats, leaving them with a substantial financial edge as the campaign enters its critical phase.

Trump’s campaign, with less financial flexibility, has managed to book ads only in Pennsylvania and Georgia post-Labor Day, as reported by AdImpact, a company that tracks media spending.

Latest polls indicate a close match between Trump and Harris in all key battleground states, with Trump gaining an edge on topics like immigration and the economy. These issues are anticipated to play a decisive role in the election’s outcome.
