Hunter Biden Drops Lawsuit Against Fox News

Hunter Biden has dropped his lawsuit against Fox News following his father’s withdrawal from the presidential race.

The lawsuit, relating to Fox News’ miniseries “The Trial of Hunter Biden,” was filed three weeks ago.

The program’s emails and images of Hunter Biden were allegedly included without his consent.

Biden dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice, allowing him the option to refile at a later time.

Fox News called the lawsuit “entirely politically motivated.”

“The core complaint stems from a 2022 streaming program that Mr. Biden did not complain about until sending a letter in late April 2024. The program was removed within days of the letter, in an abundance of caution, but Hunter Biden is a public figure who has been the subject of multiple investigations and is now a convicted felon,” Fox said at the time. “Consistent with the First Amendment, Fox News has accurately covered the newsworthy events of Mr. Biden’s own making, and we look forward to vindicating our rights in court.”

Prior to filing the lawsuit, Biden’s lawyers sent a letter to Fox News, claiming the miniseries was “unlawfully published.”

The miniseries’ contents violated “revenge porn” laws, ABC News reported.
