DOD Slide Calling Pro-Life Groups ‘Terrorist Organizations’ Withdrawn

A slide from the Department of Defense (DOD) labeling pro-life groups “terrorist organizations” has circulated on social media.

The slide, shown during an anti-terrorism briefing at Fort Liberty, formerly called Fort Bragg, specifically listed National Right to Life and Operation Rescue as terrorist entities.

Pro-life protests were also condemned in the slide, although the action is protected under the First Amendment.

The DOD has since declared the slide will “no longer be used.”

In a statement shared on Facebook, Fort Liberty said, “After conducting a commander’s inquiry, we determined that these slides were not vetted by the appropriate approval authorities, and do not reflect the views of the XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Liberty, the U.S. Army or the Department of Defense.”

Officials explained that the slides were created by a “local garrison employee” to train soldiers. “These slides will no longer be used, and all future training products will be reviewed to ensure they align with the current DoD anti-terrorism guidance.”

The soldier who took the widely-circulated image told Breitbart that the briefing was part of a two-week class on gate guard training. The individual added, “Those that were in the armed services following January 6th will remember all too well the ‘extremism stand down’ and how we were encouraged to keep eyes on our colleagues who lean right.”

Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) condemned the slide, writing on X, “The Biden DoD has created an environment where far-left wack jobs feel they can get away with teaching our troops that conservative Americans are terrorists and legitimate military targets.”

“We are in dangerous territory,” he added.
