Kellyanne Conway: Biden’s Debate Performance an ‘Unforgivable Disgrace,’ Trump’s Successes Highlighted

Kellyanne Conway criticized President Biden and his allies for his poor performance in Thursday’s presidential debate, labeling it a “disgrace.”

“There is no breaking news in what we saw last night,” Conway said on Fox’s Hannity on Friday night. “It is an unforgivable, inexcusable disgrace that we as a nation have been gaslit.”

Conway, who served as a senior counselor to former President Trump during his first term, declared Trump the winner of the debate and suggested that attention should shift to the former president’s successes.

“For all the talk today about who should replace Biden, I want to talk about the other side of the ledger: Donald Trump won that debate,” she commented.

Following the debate, CNN aired a flash poll in which almost two-thirds of viewers declared that Trump had won.

She said before the debate to Fox News that, based on her work on his 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns, Trump takes debate preparation “very seriously.” Trump continued his campaign road while Biden prepared at Camp David for the debate the week before it took place.

“He takes this very seriously. But his type of debate prep is just to talk about what you see him talking about. How he’s going to reduce inflation, what he’d do at the border,” she said.

Conway praised Trump on Friday for concentrating his campaign on important topics like immigration and the economy. She referred to Biden as a simple man with complex ideas that no one could follow, including himself. She also said Trump is a very complicated man with very simple ideas.

“The way the two men handled each other was so disparate,” Conway stated. “Donald Trump won that debate as much as Joe Biden lost it.”
