After Joe Biden’s disastrous debate against Donald Trump, Democrats are calling for Biden to be replaced with another candidate.
Media groups admitted Biden’s failure, with CNN analyst Van Jones saying, “He’s doing the best that he can. But he had a test to meet tonight to restore confidence in the country and of the base, and he failed to do that.”
CNN’s Chris Wallace similarly said, “Joe Biden sought this remarkably early time because he knew he was losing and he needed to change the narrative. He changed the narrative: he sunk his campaign tonight.”
Former Democrat presidential candidate Andrew Yang stated that the Democratic Party should “nominate someone else.”
“Guys, the Dems should nominate someone else – before it’s too late. #swapJoeout,” he wrote on X.
CNN Chief National Correspondent John King acknowledged that Democrats are “having conversations about the president’s performance,” some of which include, “should we go to the White House and ask the president to step aside?”
CNN correspondent Abby Phillip said Democrats are in a “panic.”
“The panic that I am hearing from the Democrats is not like anything I have heard. The real concern here tonight is that there’s been some real damage done that cannot be undone.”
She added that Biden’s “answers were, in a lot of cases, not coherent.”
