A Hollywood lawyer who has paid millions of dollars for Hunter Biden’s legal bills has ended his financial support, according to a report from Politico.
Sources familiar with the matter told Politico, “The reason Kevin got involved financially in the first place was that he could see that no one was going to help Hunter.”
“Now, four and a half years later, there’s still no help — and now Kevin is completely tapped out. So just when Hunter is facing two criminal trials starting in a few weeks, he has no resources,” they explained. “It’s pretty dire.”
The source added that Morris’ financial limitations are a “huge problem” for Biden’s legal defense.
Hunter Biden has two scheduled trials, one on June 3 for gun charges, and another on June 20 for tax fraud.
In a January letter sent to the House oversight committee, Morris’ lawyer said he loaned Biden over $6.5 million.
CNN reported in October that Hunter Biden has more than $10 million in legal bills from the last five years.
The legal bills are reportedly comprised of fees from federal investigations, his divorce and custody dispute, and other matters relating to filing lawsuits.
