In a new interview, former President Donald Trump promised to “lock up” those trying to politically destroy him.

- During a recent interview with Glenn Beck, former president Donald J. Trump vowed to “lock up sick evil people” trying to destroy his life.
- “I always had such great respect for the office of the president and the presidency. And I never hit Biden as hard as I could have. And then I heard he was trying to indict me and it was him that was doing it,” he said.
- The former president claimed Biden was behind all of the indictments, and was “probably the one giving the order” in all of the cases.
- “I don’t know if you know this, he put his top person into the office of the Manhattan district attorney. They’ve been in total coordination with Fani Willis,” he said. “The woman that I never met, that they accused me of rape, that’s being run by a Democrat, a Democrat operative, and paid for by the Democrat party.”
- Referring to Hillary Clinton, Beck asked if Trump regretted not putting Hilary Clinton in jail after he promised to do so in his 2016 campaign.
- “That’s what they’re doing. Do you regret not locking her up? And if you’re president again, will you lock people up?” Beck questioned.
- “Well, I’ll give you an example. Uh, the answer is you have no choice because they’re doing it to us,” Trump responded.
FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMP ON THE ‘EVIL’ PEOPLE TRYING TO DESTROY HIM:
“You know, so many these days, I have a couple of other lawsuits all funded against me by the Democrats. But these are sick people. These are evil people,” Trump said.
BACKGROUND:
- In June 2023, Trump promised to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate President Joe Biden if he wins the 2024 presidential election.

- Around the same time, Trump said that he would “never” drop out of the presidential race even if he is convicted on any of the criminal charges that he is up against.
- “I’ll never leave,” Trump told POLITICO. “Look, if I would have left, I would have left prior to the original race in 2016. That was a rough one. In theory that was not doable.”
- Trump later took to social media to say that Special Counsel Jack Smith, the prosecutor behind two of the federal criminal investigations into Trump, should be jailed.
- “They ought to throw Deranged Jack Smith and his Thug Prosecutors in jail, with Meritless Garland and Trump Hating Lisa Monaco,” Trump wrote. “They have totally Weaponized the Department of Injustice. Whatever happened to the Crooked Joe Biden Boxes Case? Why was Hillary Clinton allowed to delete 33,000 emails, many of them Classified, AFTER getting a Subpoena from Congress? Why was Bill Clinton allowed to take tapes out of the W.H. in his socks? Why has no other President ever been charged? ELECTION FRAUD!”
