ONLY 30% OF REPUBLICANS DON’T SUPPORT TRUMP’S 2024 RUN:
- The NBC News poll also found that two-thirds of Republicans support Trump.
- Among those who have expressed GOP campaign plans for 2024, Trump leads with 46% support from Republicans, followed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with 31% favorability.
- 68% of GOP primary voters believe the investigations into Trump are politically motivated, adding that supporting Trump is necessary to prevent his adversaries from seeing success.
- The poll also found that 43% of American voters believe Trump is unfairly being held to different standards than others facing allegations or investigations.
BACKGROUND:
- Biden’s approval rating dropped to a near-record low in March, according to a poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.
- Only 38% of Americans approved of Biden’s overall job as president, a drop from February’s 45% approval rating.
