Robin DiAngelo Addresses ‘White Fragility’ at Mitre Corporation’s Diversity Event

A memo obtained by The Daily Wire reveals that The Mitre Corporation, a federal contractor that has received over $5 billion in taxpayer dollars since President Joe Biden took office in 2021, is hosting Critical Race Theorist Robin DiAngelo as a keynote speaker and sponsoring book clubs on her controversial works on anti-racism.

According to the leaked internal memo, Mitre announced that DiAngelo will be the keynote speaker at the company’s “Week of Belonging” celebration, commencing on April 22. The memo highlights DiAngelo as the author of ‘White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard For White People To Talk About Racism’ and ‘Nice Racism: How Progressive White People Perpetuate Racial Harm.’ The event aims to discuss the “skills” needed to be effective stewards and overcome challenges to create “impactful change.”

Mitre’s collaboration with DiAngelo coincides with the Biden administration’s integration of left-wing ideologies, including the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda, into the federal bureaucracy. The corporation has been actively involved in promoting the DEI agenda in the federal government under the Biden administration, anticipating nearly $13 million from federal contracts related to DEI and “health equity.”

DiAngelo’s keynote speech will be a highlight of Mitre’s third annual “Week of Belonging,” focusing on sustainable solutions within the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) model. The memo lauds DiAngelo for coining the term “white fragility” and acknowledges her influence on the international dialogue on race.

Mitre’s inclusion and diversity team plans to sponsor 10 book clubs across the organization, with participants reading either ‘White Fragility’ or ‘Nice Racism.’ Hosts of these book clubs will receive five labor hours to facilitate the discussions.

The Mitre Corporation’s decision to feature Robin DiAngelo and her works on “White Fragility” reflects an ongoing trend of progressive ideology permeating corporate and governmental spheres. Many argue that such initiatives prioritize divisive ideologies over fostering genuine diversity of thought and unity.
