RFK Jr. Announces Running Mate

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced that his running mate for the 2024 presidential election is Nicole Shanahan.

Shanahan is the ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin and has previously donated to Democrats.

According to the Associated Press, Shanahan leads the Bia-Echo Foundation, an “organization she founded to direct money toward issues including women’s reproductive science, criminal justice reform and environmental cause.”

Bia-Echo Foundation has given more than $11 million to leftist causes, including organizations pushing shorter prison sentences and aiding lawyers representing illegal immigrants.

Shanahan also supported Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon, giving him $150,000 for his 2020 campaign.

In announcing Shanahan as his running mate, Kennedy said, “I managed to find a technologist at the forefront of AI. She has spent the last decade relying on neural networks, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge science to identify abuses in our government,” he said. “She understands that the health of every American is a national security issue and a national security risk. Her work has proven time and again that health drives our economy and it is the foundation of our mental health, our national happiness, our ability to lead the world and innovation and prosperity and at peace. I also wanted someone with an athlete, who could help me inspire Americans to heal, to get them back in shape.”

Shanahan also possesses a “spiritual dimension, and compassion, and idealism,” Kennedy added.

Kennedy’s vice president pick is the “daughter of immigrants, who overcame every daunting obstacle and went on to achieve the highest levels of the American dream,” he explained. “So that is why I’m so proud to introduce to you the next Vice President of the United States, my fellow lawyer, a brilliant scientist, technologist, a fierce warrior mom, Nicole Shanahan.”
