Rep. Cory Mills Airlifts Americans Out of Haiti

Representative Cory Mills (R-FL) announced that he is conducting airlift missions to evacuate Americans from Haiti.

Mills, alongside Representative Lisa McClain (R-MI) brought back 10 Americans working at an orphanage in Port au Prince.

Columnist Mitch Albom, one of the evacuees who has run the orphanage since 2010, said, “It was a helicopter effort and was pretty crazy. I want to thank Cory Mills and Lisa McClain, who were instrumental in making this happen as an independent effort. We were lucky to get out.”

“Many other Americans, Canadians and others are still stuck in Haiti in an extremely volatile situation and they need help getting out and it seems very little is coming from our governments,” Albom stated, according to Detriot Free Press. “Our personal biggest concern is our 60 children and 40 staff at the Have Faith Haiti Orphanage who have to endure their country’s violence and danger everyday with no option to leave. We truly implore our U.S leaders to be more active in helping to save their country.”

In a statement on X, Mills wrote, “I am proud to report that my team and I were successful in evacuating and rescuing a trapped, and at risk group of Americans from ‘Have Faith Orphanage’ in Haiti last night.”

“This recent mission reiterates a disturbing reality that under President Biden’s leadership American lives are continually jeopardized. I have conducted rescue/ evacs of Americans multiple times when Joe Biden has deserted them. There’s a clear pattern of abandonment!”

“Americans at home and abroad are more unsafe under Biden than ever before. We need President Trump back in the White House as the world can’t afford 4 more years of Biden’s failed administration,” Mills added.

“A day removed from a daring rescue mission in Haiti, @RepMillsPress is back in DC for his full-time job,” McClain wrote. “I have to extend my deepest gratitude to him and his team for getting our Michiganders home safely. THANK YOU CORY!”

Rep. Mills also assisted in the evacuation of 77 U.S. citizens who found themselves unable to secure a flight out of Tel Aviv due to widespread airline cancellations following the attack on Israel by Hamas.

Rep. Mills told Fox News Digital, “You know, for me, there’s a statesman and there’s a politician. One acts and the other one talks, and I just couldn’t sit there knowing Americans were losing their lives.”

He added, “And, look, I’m not making a massive dent in things. There’s thousands of people that are still trapped there. I got 32 people out today, and I hope to get a lot more tomorrow.”
