The remark came during a discussion about the ongoing congressional debate over whether to release sealed grand jury materials related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.
When asked about potential GOP support for releasing the documents, Crockett dismissed the idea. “I absolutely think that they are gonna run away with this as quickly as possible,” she said, claiming Republicans skipped a previous vote and would likely avoid taking action.
Crockett then escalated her criticism, attacking fellow Republicans’ allegiance to Trump. “They want to show that they’re loyal to this… wannabe Hitler for sure,” she said. She claimed Republicans would oppose any effort to release Epstein-related documents if they believed it could damage Trump, his brand, or the broader Republican image.
The Texas Democrat’s statement is the latest in a string of increasingly hostile rhetoric toward the former president, who remains the Republican Party’s leading figure and presumptive 2024 nominee.
